What is a thick oil for my car. I have a slight oil leak?

Don't deviate from the recommended oil. You won't alter the leak at all, but you may do the engine harm. Forget all the exotic 'cures' that people will suggest. All ineffective and a total waste of money. When the leak gets more than slight and you are starting to have to add oil, say, weekly, get it fixed. It may only be a simple leaky gasket anyway. What is a thick oil for my car. I have a slight oil leak?
20-w-50 is a good oil but it wont stop a leak on it it may not even slwo it down ,the only way to stop that is have it repared or run it dry and ruin an engine, changing to a thicker oil wont stop a leak on one, good luck.
HI

Thick oil well NOT stop a oil leak only slow it down .. only a new gasket or tighten up the bolts in the problem area well stop it. If its burning the oil then only a rebuild well fix the problem depending on where it is coming from.

good luck

Go to a parts store and get a can of RENEW. It mixes with your oil and makes old gaskets swell . Remember, its a temporary fix but it works.

Be sure to get the can for the number of cylinders in your car.

(either 4, 6, or 8)
