How much should fixing an oil leak in a 2000 Chevy Cavilier cost?

Yes it depends on what is leaking but the valve cover gaskets VERY common. Parts cost $13 and YOU can do the job if you have basic tools in about 20 minutes. If you have to go to a shop it would run around $100.

Also the oil pan gasket is a small possibility, and that could run you in the area of $300 or so. Depends on what is leaking but I would change the valve cover gasket first, remember oil leaks down, not up so check for stains. How much should fixing an oil leak in a 2000 Chevy Cavilier cost?
free do it yourself it should only be the bolts loose on the oil pan(s) or if you HAVE to take it to the shop it will run you anywhere from 20 to 100 dollars plus parts whatever they have to replaceHow much should fixing an oil leak in a 2000 Chevy Cavilier cost?
It depends on what is causing the leak, do you know where it's coming from, it might be a gasket, a seal, a crack in the block
Depends where it's leaking

If it's the pan gasket... 300.00

If it's front or rear seal... 1000.00
