How long does it normally take for a mechanic to fix an oil leak on a car?

It depends on the location of the oil leak. And if the parts are in stock at your local parts store. How long does it normally take for a mechanic to fix an oil leak on a car?
depends on source of leak,

a bad washer on oil plug could take minutes,

a bad oil pan gasket, could take an hour(s) to access pan, clean, replace gasket, and attach back to engine,

a bad valve cover gasket, may take about the same to remove, replace and assemble,

if leak was from engine gasket due to compression leak, that would take a days schedule to dis assemble the whole engine and repair,

Depends on the oil leak.

I have fixed some for less than a hundred bucks.

Had one we had almost $4000 in fixing.

So time wise, less than an hour to over 50 hours.
Depends ,if it';s the engine head gasket it could take a few hours,Same thing with the oil pan and what type vehicle it is.
Wheres it leaking from the valve cover, oil pan, rear main seal good god your leaving out crucial info.
It depends on what's leaking; a filter, about 15 minutes. An oil pan gasket, hours or days.
