How much does an engine oil leak cost to fix?

i went over a steep hump a couple of days ago, and i noticed yestaday that there was a ';pancake'; sized puddle under the car.


i have a VW GOLF MK3 1995, so i would be most grateful if someone could give me an idea of how much it would cost to repair or fix the problem

your welcome!, but it would help if we knew where its leaking at. iam supposing its the oil pan.if its the pan, i wouldnt worry about it, i would just get another pan and put it on. you probably can pick up another pan pretty cheap at your local junkyard, or you might luck out and its just the gasket.How much does an engine oil leak cost to fix?

It depends on what is damaged. Could be as simple as needing a new drain plug (inexpensive) to needing a whole new pan.
Depends whether you cracked the oil pan or not. If lucky, just the drain plug came loose. If not, then you need a new pan.
