Do Honda coat their engines with a substance what looks like an oil leak?

Basically on the HR-V's where the gasket cap is there appears to be a leak of some sort (blurry photo) is this a coating which does/does not wear off over time or do you think it is a leak.

Nightmare question i know.Do Honda coat their engines with a substance what looks like an oil leak?
It's a leak. Engines aren't coated by anything.

You didn't include the photo, either, which would be helpful, but it's 99% likely to be a leak.Do Honda coat their engines with a substance what looks like an oil leak?
actually you MAY be correct...some idiot ''car dealers'' coat there engines,in fact everything under the bonnet, with cheep car lacquer...when it get old/heated on it looks like burnt treacle and it totally spoils the look of the engine and ancillaries.....or it MAY be an oil leak.....
better check your oil.use some kitchen or bathroom cleaner to clean it of. use water from the kettle and it will remove the gunk
where's the photo?
Buy a better camera.
