Where would an oil leak be, from where, that is, if, as your standing if front of the car, the leaked oil is?

to your left, toward the front of the car.

The right front, from the drivers point of view.

It is a '98 infiniti i 30.

Also can I stop this leak or really slow it for a week or so, if I decide to trade it? And maybe clean/wipe the area where the leak is? I surely thank you all nowWhere would an oil leak be, from where, that is, if, as your standing if front of the car, the leaked oil is?
could be from the intake. valve cover or sending unit. i have never worked in a infinity. but squirt it down with some simple green and pressure wash it.

if you know you will get rid of the car in a week pour some brake fluid in the oil, this will expand the gasket(s) but it may only cover this up for a day or 2 and will make the leak worse. but works nicelyWhere would an oil leak be, from where, that is, if, as your standing if front of the car, the leaked oil is?
to guess, id say the intake would be the source. that, or a valve cover.. not too familiar with infiniti.. but its something in that respect
It could be a number of things such as a bad valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, oil sending unit, rear main seal and etc.
it may not be oil, it could be from your transmission cooling lines which can get dirty enough to where you think its oil. check other spots incase the oil is from the top and going down to that side of the car even the power steering would get dirty running down to come out there. if you are getting rid of the car dump some heavy duty oil in it with some engine oil treatment thats set up to stop leaks. the reason i say it that way is i do not like gas treatments oil treatment tranny treatments i have classics and i do not like that stuff in any of my vehicles. try it i hope it works. wipe everything down just like you said better yet get some gunk and go to a do it yourself car wash and clean it better, be careful most places do not want you to be doing that you know the environment and all. i do it all the time hope its easy for you. hell clean the whole engine and spray armor on it thoroughly now it looks like a new engine. go get it kid
Shame on you!

Have an oil leak diag done on the vehicle and repair it.
