I have a 93 4runner that has recently developed an oil leak. The oil appears to be coming from between the engine and the transmission housing. It only leaks a significant amount (i.e. oil left on the pavement) after I have driven it, so I'm wondering if there has to be oil pressure and circulation for it to leak. If I move the vehicle forward a few feet, to a clean spot of pavement, after it's sat for an hour it won't leave any oil. I'm thinking its the rear main seal? What is the source of my 4Runner's oil leak?
