as to the oil smoke on start up it depends on whether it is excess diesel fuel smoke ( normally white ) or engine oil smoke this is bluey grey and tends to be slow to disperse

go to halfords and ask for Winn's stop smoke in a bottle looks a bit like treacle stops it smoking a bit but probably wont cure oil leak
There is no such thing as a ';mechanic in a can'; Smoke on start up is not all that uncommon, depends on what color it is. Is it white? black? As far as the oil leak, simple things it...its leaking....find out where and fix it, pouring a can of gunk in is not the answer.
oil leaks are resolved by replacing gaskets or oil seals. a smoking engine requires either valve guides, piston rings or injector/pump overall depending on wether smoke is blue or black.
